Upon registration, each participant accepts the following general terms and conditions of the “Berlin Brazilian Zouk United Festival”.

§ 1 General policy

Participation at all workshops and all evening events occurs at your own risk. We do not take responsibility for personal damage or property damage. We also do not assume liability for any items brought to the festival within the premises of the festival, including all teaching and all party rooms. The organizer of the festival is not responsible for lost or stolen property. Missed workshops by the participant cannot be reimbursed. All information received when purchasing the festival tickets will only be used for internal purpose and will not be made available for any third party.

§ 2 Changes to the program

The organizer reserves the right to change the workshop or party program at short notice. We would like to ask participants to check the website or facebook page www.facebook.com/brazilianzoukunited before the festival starts. To avoid interruptions we would like to ask participants to please be at the workshops on time.

§ 3 Dance partner

It is possible to register without dance partner. However, we do not take responsibility that enough partners will be available for training. Whether dance partners will be rotated throughout individual workshops is subject to teachers and participants.

§ 4 Payment

Registration via Internet/Email is binding and participants agree to pay the full price of the chosen pass upon registration. You will receive an Email with payment instructions.

Upon full payment, participants will receive an E-Ticket. Please notice that this can take up to one week after payment has been received. This E-Ticket can be exchanged for a festival bracelet upon registration at the festival. You must show the E-Ticket as well as a valid ID to pick up the bracelet at the event location.

Concerning SEPA-transfer: By completing and sending the sign up form to us, you are registered and agree to pay the full amount of your chosen pass. In case we do not receive payment within 1 week, your registration will be cancelled. In case of cancellation until 2 weeks before the start of the festival, we will be able to refund 50 % of the ticket. After this time, no refund is possible. For a fee of 15 Euros, you are able to change the name on the ticket. For discounted and won tickets there is no refund or name change possible. Purchasing tickets for reselling purposes only is not permitted.

§ 5 Rights regarding one’s own image

Upon signing up, each participant gives all rights regarding one’s own image to Brazilian Zouk United Festival. This means that all image, video and audio material can be distributed via internet or other media and can also be used or published for documentation or promotional purposes.

§ 6 Closing date for applications

The application deadline is seven days before that start of the event (7^th May 2020). After this date, passes can only be bought at the event location on the day.

§ 7 Parking

When parking you vehicle, please watch out for parking conditions and general rules. Participants park their car at their own risk. We recommend travelling to the event location using public transport.

§ 8 Bringing drinks and other items

Bringing drinks to the event location is not permitted. This applies also to glass bottles, cans, pyrotechnical objects, torches and weapons which are not permitted at the workshops or evening events. We reserve the right to remove people from the event who do not comply with these regulations. Upon entry, you will be searched for any forbidden items and the security guards are advised to also examine each person, as well as their belongings. The right to not permit entry to the festival is reserved  (upon reimbursement of the ticket). Bringing drinks to the parties is forbidden.

§ 9 Changes to the general policy

Even if single paragraphs are ineffective, this will have no influence on the effectivity of the entire policy.

§ 10 Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

Place of jurisdiction is Berlin. German law applies.

§ 11 Cancellation of event

In the case that the event “Berlin Brazilian Zouk United” Festival will be cancelled by the organizers, all tickets can be fully refunded up until 2 months after the planned event in the same way they were purchased.
