Dear community, dear friends, dear dancers from abroad, artists and DJs,

This is a sad post but a heads-up post at the same time. It’s a crazy time for everyone. Even though lockdowns and social distancing laws were passed only until April, nobody really knows how many weeks or months this will still go on. We chose “Celebrate Community” as our slogan and want to stick to it, and we feel that the right way to do this at the moment, is to celebrate through Social Distancing, and celebrate Unity by NOT celebrating this festival in May. For us, community and solidarity is the same thing. Here are our specific reasons for the decision:

– We see it as main priority that everyone does whatever he/she can to flatten the curve for Corona. We see our main responsibility to be solidary with our society, especially the vulnerable ones. It is about the health of our participants but also about all others that you are in contact with after the festival!
– Solidarity and Unity also means to help reduce social mobility. Nobody knows when a vaccine will come out and until then it is crucial that we all reduce our social mobility as much as we can. It’s well explained here -> https://www.washingtonpost.com/…/20…/world/corona-simulator/
– Even if the situation changes by April or May, we feel it would not be the right situation to have the celebration we wanted to have.

We had already put a lot of effort into it, and since it was supposed to be the first edition, we wanted to make it an unforgettable experience. We still want to!!! So this is the “heads-up” that we have for you:

– Every ticket price is 100% transferred to next year’s festival, which will happen at the same time currently planned for May 13-16 in Bebop (bank holiday in Germany). For everyone who already booked flights or hotel this year: Many airlines, hotels and Airbnb are offering Zero Change Fees. 

Let’s continue community celebrations guys, just a little differently 😉 and stay at home and let this come to an end as soon as possible!
